Had a thorough annual eye exam. Learned that daily use of lubricating eye drops can reduce future risk of glaucoma. Would have been nice to have a pair of dark sunglasses after having been dilated. I’ll try to remember to bring my own next time.

Update: The doctor personally called me afterward to explain that they have new employees who are still getting up to speed. I really appreciate the doctor taking the time to reach out and explain the situation. Awful experience. I called last Thu for a stye and got a call back confirming today’s appointment. When I showed up, they said they had no record of it. I even have the call screenshot to prove it. Whoever called me clearly needs more training, because this kind of mistake wastes patients’ time — and in my case, it’s a stye, which is very time-sensitive. Then they told me the next available appointment wouldn’t be until weeks later. Completely unprofessional. I will not be returning and would never recommend this office.
